Malaysia is commonplace to go. When people think about Malaysia, they go to the major town of Kuala Lumpur and the beautiful beaches in Penang and Langkawi Island. So many of Malaysia’s best cities are left to explore.

If you ask Malaysia, then, where are you going or maybe you need more motivation to visit Malaysia? Please read our list of 10 of Malaysia’s best locations. This is our final list of the best destinations in the Malaysia Tour Package and you can certainly find some places to visit in Malaysia that are ideal for your holidays!

The 10 Best Visiting Places in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur

Without the capital, Kuala Lumpur, a list of the best places to visit will be incomplete. KL is always the first place to think about when planning to visit Malaysia in my list of Malaysia attractions in 2021 and is often one of Malaysia’s top towns.

Kuala Lumpur is Malaysia’s largest city, the largest financial hub for a diverse cultural melting pot. It’s one of the most thrilling and not to miss cities in Malaysia.

Langkawi

Langkawi is one of Malaysia’s leading destinations (especially for beach holidays), Malaysia must be seen and many people are arguing for Malaysia’s best island. In Langkawi, there’s something for everyone, not just a beautiful place, with great beaches and attractions, on either side of the main island.

Langkawi is actually an archipelago, but there are various places to visit and stay on the main island. Pantai Cenang is one of Underwater World’s most popular beach destinations. There are other quieter places all over the island. Langkawi is one of the places to visit in Malaysia 2021 if you love the beaches.

Penang

Penang State is another popular Malaysian tourist destination. It is a very different state and offers many tourists to Malaysia for the first time as it is one of my favorite destinations in Malaysia.

There is a diverse mix of influences and beaches, with interesting architecture and affordable accommodation in the resort. It is also one of Malaysia’s best places to eat, offering some of the most affordable food.

Bukit Merah

Malaysia is well known as the birthplace of the orangutan, and tourists to Malaysia often have orangutans on their list of things to do.

Bukit Merah is one of Malaysia’s popular places to visit the orangutans.

The city is surrounded by a lake just outside Taiping. Orang Utan Island is its main attraction – a sustainable tourist destination and one of Malaysia’s best places to visit. The EcoPark – the habitat of many indigenous and endangered species – is a sustainable tourist attraction of the city.

Kuala Kangsar

Kuala Kangsar is a royal capital and wonderful architecture can be explored and seen. When we visited the city, we found it still quiet, but with the great buildings still at our command. These are the reasons why this is the place to visit in Malaysia.

There’s a lot to see like Istana Iskandariah, Istana Kenangan (constructed from wood), and the Sultan Azlan Shah Gallery. This is a city of palaces.

If you want to visit any part of the beaten tourist route, then Malaysia might be the best destination right on your way.

Ipoh

We didn’t know what we expected when we visited Ipoh. We finally liked it. Ipoh is Perak’s State Capital and a wonderful destination for a short trip with many of Malaysia’s most interesting places in this town. In Malaysia that has fewer visitors (a positive thing in our view!), Ipoh is certainly one of the nice places to visit.

If there are great foods, fascinating attractions, and plenty of fun at a visit to Malaysia, then go to Ipa.

Cameron Highlands

Malaysians go to the Cameron Highlands to avoid the city life of Kuala Lumpur and the heat at lower altitudes. If you want the best place to spend holidays in Malaysia to avoid the heat and see something from Malaysia’s interiors, you can easily see why and be tempted to join them.

This is the safest place to go in Malaysia. It is high in the hills with tea plantations, venerable sites, museums, etc. The highest point, Gunung Brinchang, and many beautiful hiking trails in Malaysia are also home to it.

Port Dickson

Port Dickson is a popular beach getaway destination in Kuala Lumpur. There are several high-quality resorts that provide family-friendly accommodation. We noticed that the Avillion Port Dickson was Malaysia’s best resort if you want a private swimming pool for family visits to Port Dickson or the Grand Lexis. If you are looking for a beach vacation in Malaysia by the beach and easy access to the KL areas, PD is an ideal place to visit.

The resorts are usually outside the main town but there are good restaurants and shops. There are also some beautiful beaches, but many are private.

Melaka

Melaka is one of Malaysia’s best places to visit. Also one of Malaysia’s top historic sites, and a contestant for Malaysia’s best city if you want cities of morsel, seaworthy and historical value. Malacca is also host to some of Malaysia’s major cultural heritage tourist attractions.

It is a beautiful city and one of Malaysia’s main places of interest to theologians. Due to its rich cultural history, the city is surrounded by numerous churches such as the church of St. Paul, temples and mosques.

Johor Bahru

Johor Bahru is just across the border, and one of the easy places to visit in Malaysia, from Singapore.

It’s always worth to visit although it’s not necessarily one of Malaysia’s destination, particularly if you’re in Singapore. The city provides a combination of museums and natural sites, such as Gunung Ledang National Park and Gunung Lambak.

The popular Legoland is also one of the best places to visit the city together with your family in Malaysia for families with small children.
